The ASVAB, sponsored by the Department of Defense, is a three-hour, multi-aptitude, multiple-choice exam battery. Your ASVAB results provide scores for each of the individual ten subjects tested, as well as three academic composite scores; Verbal, Math, and Academic Ability; and two career exploration composite scores. While the ASVAB is best known for its use in the military recruitment process, it is a useful tool for all students as it measures the test takers aptitude for various careers.
Wrong Answers - There is no penalty on the ASVAB for wrong answers, so it is to your advantage to answer every question. If you dont know the correct answer, try to eliminate those choices that you know are wrong and take an educated guess based on the choices that remain.
Time - Dont spend too much time on any one question. If you cant figure out the answer in a few seconds, come back to it later and go on to the next question.
Guessing - If you still have a couple of questions left but not enough time for educated guessing, go ahead take random guesses; you wont lose any points for a wrong answer!
