Juris Doctor Programs
Juris Doctor - Individuals seeking to practice law and develop the greatest range of career opportunities should enroll in the Juris Doctor Program. Beyond the traditional practice of law, a licensed attorney has the knowledge, skills and credentials for employment in a broad spectrum of career opportunities.
Graduates are eligible to apply to sit for the California bar examination. Upon passing the bar examination and fulfilling other statutory requirements, graduates become eligible to practice law in the State of California as well as in many of the Federal courts. Concord's Juris Doctor alumni may also apply to practice before most federal and other governmental agencies. In addition, graduates may be eligible to practice before the United States Supreme Court after three years of practice. Graduates desiring to practice in other states may be eligible under reciprocity rules. These rules are unique to each state.

Executive Juris Doctor - Individuals who desire an education in law - but do not desire to practice law - should enroll in the Executive JDSM program. Today's economy puts great value on the skills and abilities that can be derived from a legal education. Knowledge of legal terminology, well-honed analytical skills and the power to persuade are talents that can be employed in a wide range of employment opportunities. Executive JDSM students are not subject to the statutorily mandated four-year part-time study requirements that are required by California law for the Juris Doctor program. Students enrolled in this program receive many of the same intensive Concord courses offered in the Juris Doctor program except that they have more flexibility.
